Moving is satisfying because you come into chaos and by the time you leave, you feel the weight lift off the shoulders of your clients

I enjoy moving here in Edmonton and the Leduc area because of the human contact and meeting interesting new people every day and helping them at this difficult time in their lives. Moving is satisfying because you come into chaos, where everyone is stressed, and by the time you leave, you can feel the weight lift off the shoulders of your clients. It is very satisfying to make people happy.

My favourite type of customer is someone that is up for a laugh

My favourite type of customer is someone that is up for a laugh

My favourite type of customer is someone that is up for a laugh. Having someone to joke with throughout the day makes a tough job go by so much quicker. In the best case scenario, the customer will be too busy laughing to worry about their stress on move day. Even when it is Edmonton levels of cold, nothing passes the time faster than humour. The next thing you know, the job is done.

OO movers truly are the movers that have a heart

OO movers truly are the movers that have a heart

If it were not for being on the OO movers team, I would not have been able to continue as a mover in Edmonton. I had some personal financial difficulties this year and my truck was not working all summer. Thank goodness as a member of the OO team they were able to loan me the money to get over that hard spot and continue working. OO movers truly are the movers that have a heart.

I am a long distance mover on the Alberta BC run

I am a long distance mover on the Alberta BC run

I pull a 40 foot gooseneck low ride moving trailer behind my one ton cab. I am a long distance mover on the Alberta BC run. Loading and unloading in Edmonton and Calgary tends to be easy with any truck because there is so much room on the streets to park and maneuver a big rig, but the flexibility of the gooseneck trailer really proves its worth down the narrow alleys of downtown Vancouver‘s West End.

The other good thing about moving is meeting new and strange people. It is never boring

The other good thing about moving is meeting new and strange people. It is never boring

I enjoy the outdoor experience of moving in all the different kinds of weather Alberta can dish out. To me, fresh air and exercise is a big part of my life. I think all movers are like that and could not work in an office. The other good thing about moving is meeting new and strange people. It is never boring.

Local Piano Movers

Piano moving is strangely enough fun for some movers. Piano moves present the opportunity to use your brains and your muscles like few other moving situations. First you must know to what degree the piano needs to be disassembled for transport. On some long distance or overseas shipments, everything that can possibly come off is packed and wrapped to ensure minimum vibration and wear on the structure. Even using a strap too tight can damage the edge on a black lacquer finish. Care is required every step of the way.

Then there is the difficult task of moving these large weights in and out of buildings. Legendary piano moves are the stories that movers love to tell when they hang out. They always remember the first time they move a monster old player piano up stairs or hoist onto a balcony using a hiab crane. We all find our fun in different ways.
